I LOVE baby animals, then again, who doesn’t?
I can get sucked into watching those baby panda videos on Facebook for hours. So when I heard that, author and illustrator, Sarah E. Hewitt wrote an alphabet book featuring animals and their babies
– I JUST HAD TO READ IT!
“Have you ever wondered what a baby chameleon is called? What makes the platypus so special? What is an ibex? Find answers to all these questions and more in this fun alphabetical book all about baby animals!” – Sarah E. Hewitt
I found out about Sarah and her new book in the Wake to Make Tribe on Facebook and I decided to buy the Kindle version to support a fellow maker, have something to read to my niece and to find out –
“what makes the platypus so special”.
Things I love about this book & you will too:
It is filled to the brim with extraordinary information for kids (and adults because I totally didn’t know what a baby Ibex was called). Each letter in the alphabet is associated with an animal to help create an easy way for kids to learn the alphabet – for example, A is for Armadillo.
The author shares a few interesting facts about each animal that your kids may not know yet and also shares what the animal’s baby is called.
The layout of the book creates a very easy and enjoyable reading experience. The illustrations are a great way to help kids identify the baby animal when they are out in nature.
It makes learning the alphabet easy and fun because you will forever be associating the letters of the alphabet to an animal. Some of the animals used are also not the conventional animals you learn about which broadens your kid’s knowledge base.
You, as well as your kids, are certain to learn something new that you didn’t know before.
It’s a FOUR IN ONE kind of book – you will learn: the alphabet, the names of different animals, the baby names of different animals AND interesting facts about each animal.
